On Wednesday August 27, UCR will host the Convocation Ceremony. During the ceremony, the Academic Year of 2025-2026 will be formally opened, the students of the Class of 2028 are welcomed to UCR’s academic and social community, and the new UCR brand will be launched.

Slightly over 100 students will join the new cohort. With over 40 different nationalities, this will be a very international addition to the students already in Middelburg. With interests spread out over the six new clusters at UCR, you may see them around town engaging with our history, the environment, media, elderly care, leadership and big data, amongst many more topics. Next to welcoming the new students, UCR will also launch a new brand.
Convocation will take place on August 27, in the Burgerzaal of the Former Town Hall, entrance via the Market Square. Invitees can attend the ceremony from 16:00-17:00. The doors open at 15:30.

From 17:15, the Voorhal of the Former Town Hall will be opened to the wider public to get a taste of the new brand and to showcase research, teaching and collaborative activities UCR engages in. Join us and take a piece of the new UCR with you!
